WAGMC — National Genetic Health

360° multi-platform communication

We delivered a 360° multi-platform communication programme for the West African Genetic Medicine Centre—spanning press relations, scientific conferences, public screenings, community outreach, and digital engagement. Nuru Communications partnered with the West African Genetic Medicine Centre (WAGMC) to launch a groundbreaking national initiative that transformed complex genomic science from an elite academic discipline into an accessible, public-facing conversation about health, heritage, and national progress. We designed and delivered a comprehensive 360° communication ecosystem that strategically bridged the critical gap between laboratory research and lived experience. Our multi-platform campaign orchestrated scientific storytelling at international conferences, curated documentary screenings that humanized data, and led immersive community outreach programs that made genomics tangible for diverse populations. By translating pioneering science into compelling narratives of prevention, personalized medicine, and African-led innovation, we fostered an unprecedented national dialogue that empowered citizens, destigmatized genetic conditions, and positioned Ghana at the forefront of a continent-wide movement toward equitable, proactive, and precision healthcare. This initiative established a new blueprint for public engagement with advanced science, proving that clear communication is the essential catalyst for turning medical breakthrough into societal trust and collective health resilience.
