National Communications Authority (NCA)

SIM Registration National Campaign

Nuru Communications served as the strategic communications backbone for the National Communications Authority’s pivotal, decade-long journey, most notably during the landmark nationwide SIM Card Re-registration campaign—one of Africa’s most ambitious public mobilizations for digital identity security. Recognizing that the initiative’s success hinged on universal public trust and comprehension, we engineered a hyper-localized, 16-region communications ecosystem. Our strategy deployed multilingual radio dramas, culturally resonant print materials, and a dynamic digital and influencer network to translate a complex regulatory mandate into a compelling narrative of collective security and national sovereignty. This omnipresent, clarity-driven campaign transformed compliance from a bureaucratic obligation into a shared civic responsibility, directly strengthening the integrity of Ghana’s digital identity framework. By ensuring every citizen, from urban centers to remote communities, understood the "why" behind the process, we secured unprecedented public participation, fortified national cybersecurity infrastructure, and established a replicable model for how to guide a nation through a fundamental digital evolution with unity, transparency, and overwhelming public buy-in.
